Horizontal Blinds

What are horizontal blinds?

Horizontal Blinds are window and door blinds that have aluminum, wood, or vinyl slats that run parallel to the horizon or level to the ground. In layman terms, the slats rest from left to right. Just imagine how your horizontal blind can help you have the feeling of traveling abroad on an ocean liner while looking onto the horizon. Okay well maybe I have an active imagine. Seriously…

Horizontal blind slats rest on corded ladders. The horizontal blind head rail houses components that operate the blind. There are internal lift cords that wind up into pullies inside of the head rail The cords run inside of route holes for standard cordless blinds and on the outside of the cloth ladders on routless blinds. The blind tilts with the use of a wand tilter. The cordless horizontal blinds lift by easily pulling up the bottom rail to raise it or pull it down to lower it.
